My name is
I work at Willows Hedgehog Rescue with Charlie and Jayne looking after all the poorly hedgehogs here.
Charlie has given me this page so you can send pictures and poems to me!
We received a brilliant card today from all the children in year 2 at Abbeywood School. Charlie went there and talked to all the children about my hedgehog friends. The children asked how they could tell if hedgehogs were around and Charlie told them to look out for hedgehog poo (which can be glittery with insect bits), trails in the grass where the hedgehog travel each night and he also suggested making a sand trap or ink tunnel to try and find hedgehog footprints!
Millie and her mom came to visit us at one of our awareness events in Bromsgrove and Millie picked up one of our special hedgehog pictures, coloured it in and sent it to us.
Isn't it brilliant! I love the bright yellow sun and the really summery blue sky and all that lovely green grass. The hedgehog looks just like me and my friends!
Well done Millie!
Charlie and Jayne went to see all the children from the Bournville Woodcraft Folk to talk to them about hedgehogs. Charlie and Jayne said they had a great time and Charlie talked to all the children about hedgehogs. He said they already knew lots about them and they asked some really good questions. All of the children had also coloured in pictures of hedgehogs which were all brilliant. Jayne picked out her favourite one (she said it looked like Sally one of the hedgehogs here at Willows Hedgehog Rescue). Jayne's favourite one was drawn by Lydia and here it is. Isn't it brilliant!
Thank you to all the Children at Bournville Woodcraft Folk for supporting us and for asking us to come and talk to you. We really enjoyed it and hope you did too.
Jack and his family rescued Little Spike.
Little Spike was out in their garden during daylight and they looked after him for a couple of days, taking him to see the vet to get some medicine and keeping him safe and warm and fed before bringing him over to see me.
Little Spike has been here for a couple of weeks now and Jack came over to see him today and to give him a brilliant Christmas Card.
Jack and his mom and dad also brought over lots and lots of goodies for all of the hogs here which we really appreciate. We got yummy food and treats, and lots of bedding and things to help when we are sick, and lots more things as well. Charlie and Jayne have asked me to say a big big thank you for helping to look after us (Charlie and Jayne also got some chocolates which we can't eat so we will have to watch them eat those!)
Thank you Jack, and mom and dad (Paul and Kelly) from all the hedgehogs here at Willows, from Charlie and Jayne and from me Willow!
I'm going to go and have another look at the card!
See you soon
